Beginning her career in the arts as a ballet dancer with The Australian Ballet School before training in acting at Film and Television Studio International in Melbourne, Mariah later expanded into screenwriting, producing and literary development.

In 2021, Mariah was selected as one of only sixteen writers globally for the prestigious Curtis Brown Creative novel writing programme before receiving the Dennis Diderot Grant and a writing residency at Château d'Orquevaux in France, where she collaborated with international artists across disciplines to develop original work.

Mariah produced the award-winning feature film Love, Tea & Epiphany, which swept the international festival circuit with Best Film and Best Narrative wins in New York and Tokyo. In 2022, she starred in a film which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. She has written and produced for REACH TV, North America’s largest airport television network, and continues to work across screenwriting, directing and creative development internationally. Mariah has also directed numerous theatre shows for The British Theatre Academy in London.

Alongside her screen and literary work, Mariah is the Founder and Director of the Creative Writing Programme at The Alligator’s Mouth Bookshop, where she develops workshops and mentorship opportunities focused on authenticity, storytelling and creative practice. She has also spoken as a creative producer at the Official UK Film Network Filmmakers Event and hosts conversations and literary evenings at Everybody Reads Bookshop in Chiswick London for emerging writers and artists exploring creativity, voice and the writing process.
